Project 3

Galaxy Picture

This image was created on Photoshop using 5 separate images and a quote relating to the image. Each object over the galaxy background was carefully removed from it’s original background in order to be placed on a new background. Dropping the opacity of the images placed on the background created the blend it needed to come together. The quote was added to fit the image. After this was created, this was then used to great an animation. In the animation the two astronauts are moving from earth to the moon.

Assignment 7: Magazine Cover

This is a design for a Magazine cover for a traveling type of magazine. The magazine was created using lots of travel pictures that I have taken throughout my life and living overseas. The images were blended together inorder to mesh well together and have a good flow. For the image of myself, I faded it out inorder to mix it in with the background.

Where it all started

What I used to help me:

Sketches:

Other high fashion logos:

Final logo for LIV

LIV
My final logo of "Liv" which is a high end fashion brand for women. The "I" in the word Liv is suppose to be a diamond to represent expensive and highend. I started out with only wanting to do something fashion related then end up wanted to change my ideas as I kept working and doing my sketches. I added the colors in the diamond for a small pop of color while keep the writing black like most other high end fashion brands but also wanted it to be my own.

Firefox VS Safari

Safari VS Firefox

Both Safari and Firefox both are internet web browsers. Safari is a small compass in light blue and kind of looks like a a stop watch in a way. Firefox is a world with a fox that is a on fire around it. Safari used only primary colors where as firefox used  the orange which makes it pop more. I think safari works better because it fits a broader audience in some ways and its a lot more simple with a compass than a fox.

Old firefox logo:

This was right when firefox started and the logo was much different from what it turned out looking like today. After this logo they started looking like the final product they have going right now

Old Safari logo:

This logo has always looked pretty similar but has just advanced throughout the years with more detail.

About me

Who Am I?
  • Alexandra Connors
  • 20 years old
  • Junior
  • Communications and PR
  • I expect to learn all about digital arts in this class and get a better understanding on all the different programs and be able to take out a lot from this class

Part 1

Five ideas for a fictional product/company
(Very broad ideas to figure out my final product)

1.  24hr waterproof makeup line
  • Wanting to create something using no to as little words as possible
  • Keeping the image very simple but easy to relate to the final brand or product
2. A traveling company that sells like ebay
  •  Either a new airline or a new sort of train logo
  • Include the name in the logo image
  • Primary colors
3. Fashion brand or fashion school logo
  •  Maybe a clothing company that sticks to one color and only sells clothing in that color
  • Creating a single image of a piece of clothing in a single color or a row of different types of clothing
  • Having the name of brand on the bottom
4. Sports brand clothing that makes all clothes reversible (going back to the fashion)
  •  Some sort of sports related logo
  • Colorful logo with large writing and showing exactly what the company does
5. Sports equipment brand that delivers
  •  Going back to number 4, relating them together maybe creating a company that has both in them like Dicks Sporting Goods for example
  • Having a vehicle in the logo
